Je viens régulièrement sur Utagawa pour "piquer" des traces et aller m'amuser dans les bois. J'ai acquis un EDGE TOURING pour se faire mais, comme d'autres ai-je cru comprendre, j'ai été déçu par la navigation qui est souvent prise en défaut dans les bois.
J'ai donc cherché comment se contenter de suivre la trace téléchargée sur ce GPS sans utiliser la navigation... Et j'ai trouvé... Sur un forum british !
J'ai testé aujourd'hui, ça marche nickel : la trace apparaît en violet sur la carte et on peut la suivre sans aucune indication du GPS ! Voici donc l'astuce
:
- Dans le Menu réglages sur la page d'accueil (clé à molette et tournevis) > Pages de trajets > Carte > Sélectionner Carte : IL FAUT DESACTIVER TOUTES LES CARTES Retour à l'accueil Menu Où aller ? Vous choisissez votre parcours (j'ai testé avec une trace UTAGAWA, pas avec le calculateur... A voir) Aller. (Laisser le GPS faire son calcul. Comme il n'y a pas de carte, son itinéraire va coller parfaitement à la trace 
) Renouveller étape 1 pour réactiver la carte. CA MARCHE et, honnêtement, la manip n'est pas si compliquée ! Si on s'éloigne trop du parcours, il prévient mais finies les indications foireuses !
Le forum anglais ajoute même que l'on peut ajouter des indications gauche droite. Ci-dessous : la version originale :
The calculation of T-B-T navigation hints is the default behavior on the Edge Touring, also when you load a breadcrump track. You cannot switch it off just like on the Edge 800. However there is a quite simple workaround.
The way to a follow a track with course points on the Edge Touring ( and I assume the Edge 810 will do as well) :
- Take a track (gpx)
- Generate course + course points using JaVaWa’s RTWtool or WinGDB3 (tcx).
- Load the course in your Edge .
- Go to the start location of the course
- Disable all routable maps except the ww Basemap!
- Start the course, it now will be " calculated " (ie, the route follows the exact course). Ignore the route calculation error.
- Enable the map(s) you want to use as the background (auto-routing or non-routing is irrelevant).
- Follow the course. You will not get any T-B-T announcements, but instead a banner with ‘Left’ or ‘Right’ text and a small arrow on the bottom of the screen, including a 'beep'. In RTWtool and WinGDB3 you can specify the distance before the turn when the Left/Right banner will be displayed.
Oh yeah , put Recalculate and “Lock on road” to Off .
Note. If you don't want the Left/Right course points showing up, just skip the RTWtool/WinGDB3 step.
